My First Mother's Day

Me, Kendall, Herbert Johnson (Paul's Grandfather), Katelyn, and Paul

I had the best first Mother's Day! We went to church and the girls were perfect during the service. I thought Katelyn was going to start her "singing" but she did great. Kendall was looking at everyone in the pews behind me and smiling at them. A few people came up to us after the service to comment on how good they were during the service. Actually all of the babies being dedicated did really well, most of them slept through the entire ceremony. We are going to receive a letter in the mail for each girl to give to them when they turn 12. The pastor gave us a copy of the letter so we would not be tempted to open it when it arrives. He reminded us that it was against the law to open another persons mail, the congregation laughed.

We proceeded to have brunch but the restaurant that I picked was not able to seat us so we went to The Olive Garden. The food was good and the company was even better. My brother Mark and my niece Tatiana were able to make the long trip from South Carolina to celebrate this special day and spend some time with the girls.
