Let it snow, let it snow!

Paul and I woke up at midnight to feed the girls and since the weatherman called for snow, Paul was expecting it to be on the ground. Luckily, at the 4am feeding, he finially got his snow! Every year I have to hear him whine about us not getting any snow. He was so happy and it was too early for me to be excited about the white stuff. I went to work and remembered that people that are used to driving in winter conditions are a hazard to other drivers. Some guy was tailgating me on 540 so I let him pass and he was of course from New York. He should be glad that he could not hear what I was yelling at him. Paul picked me up from the office so I would not have to drive home and I was glad that I did not have to deal with the idiots on the way home.

Double Trouble

The girls have been keeping us busy and here are a few observations that I have made over the past seven weeks:
  • When people tell you that they eat every three hours, they fail to tell you the time starts from the instant the bottle hits the lips.

  • I never knew we could discuss poop so much and not be grossed out by it.

  • I thought you only had to worry about little boys peeing everywhere and apparently that is not the case.

  • The baby that cries the loudest gets fed first...the other one is figuring that out too!

  • When a baby throws/spits up, it always looks like more comes out than when in

  • Being a mommy of twins is a huge challenge
Paul and I have been working as a team at night and each of us is responsible for feeding one of the girls. This practice gives us a little more sleep than one of us feeding both girls.

We are truly blessed by having these girls and thank God for giving them to us.
